The largest band event in the county is taking place September 22 at McIntosh High as all five high school marching bands and a combined middle school band take to the field to entertain audiences.
Performances start at 6 p.m., and are part of the seventh annual Fayette County Marching Band Exhibition. The event gives bands the opportunity to showcase their talents to the community in one location. Attendees will also get a sneak peek at future up-and-coming marching band members as eighth grade students from all six middle schools combine for a performance.
Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for students. Admission is free for children age five and under, as well as for all elementary and middle school band members who wear a shirt with their school’s name on it.
