9/11 Anniversary in the Schools Webinar
Friday, September 10, 2021, @ 10am, 11am, 1pm & 2pm

Participants will learn about 9/11 through personal stories from 9/11 family members Cait Leavey, Brielle Saracini, and John Spade, first responders from the FDNY and PAPD, and a student on 9/11, and ask questions through a live chat with Museum staff. Registration required. September’s book pick is: Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo. Teens ages 13-18 are welcome to sign up to join the Peachtree City Library’s Teen Book Club. Teens will meet once per month to read and discuss books in the Young Adult genre.

Beanstack Fall Reading Challenge

September 21st – December 21st, 2021

Read 2 books per month and be entered into a drawing to win a prize each month. Drawings will be held on October 19th, November 16th, and December 21st. Banned Books Week

Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. This year’s Banned Books Week theme is Books Unite Us. Censorship Divides Us. Censorship limits exploration and creates barriers to access information. The path toward the freedom to read starts at the library. The books featured during Banned Books Week have all been targeted for removal or restriction in libraries and/or schools. Check out a few banned books today!
