Family history class is tonight
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) wil host a family history class on using U.S. Census records Wednesday, Feb. 3, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Participants may bring their devices; wifi is available. The church is at 2021 Redwine Road, Fayetteville.

PTCUMC will host Superbowl party
Peachtree City United Methodist Church is hosting an alcohol-free party for the Superbowl on Feb. 7 starting at 4:30 p.m. in the Worship Center at 225 Robinson Road, Peachtree City. The event is for church members and families of the community. The game will be broadcast on large screens. Complimentary food will be provided by Beef O’Brady’s and other sponsors in Peachtree City. The day promises fun, fellowship, and giant games of competition for the entire family. Registration slips for Yeti door prizes will be available that day. You must be present to win.  Bring your camp chair, wear your favorite team jersey and root for your favorite team.

Becoming ministry to meet Feb. 8
Lisa Johnson will be the speaker at the next meeting of the women’s ministry group, Becoming, at Peachtree City church of Christ, 201 South Peachtree Parkway, Monday, Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m. Johnson will speak on “Into my heart hospitality.” Becoming is a monthly gathering of ladies aged middle school and up. Its vision is that women of all ages can be inspired during a time of fellowship outside weekly worship and Bible study. To RSVP for this free event, email PTCBecoming@Gmail.com.

COS schedules Ash Wednesday events
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City offers two services on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 12:15 and 6:30 p.m. These services launch the season of Lent, 40 days of introspection and repentance. Both services include Holy Communion, and worshipers will be invited to receive ashes on their foreheads. Pastor Miriam Beecher will speak, and Sanctuary Choir will sing at the 6:30 service.

Pastors’ planning meeting planned
All Fayette County pastors and congregational leaders are invited to attend a Fayette County pastors planning meeting for Reconciliation and Unity on Thursday, Feb 25, at 10 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, 1077 Ga.
