FFC plans New Year’s Eve service
Fayette Family Church, located at 1729 Ga. Highway 54 W., between Fayetteville and Peachtree City, is having a New Year Celebration Service from 10 p.m. – midnight, with worship, prayer, and special guest, Reigning Victory Dance Studio. Doors open at 9 p.m. for intercessory prayer. A dessert fellowship will follow the service.

Masses to be celebrated Dec. 31, Jan. 1

SDA’s praise band featured Dec. 31
Peachtree City Seventh Day Adventist Church’s praise band, “Let Your Light Shine,” will host a Prayer Extravaganza on Dec. 31 at 7 p.m. to usher in the New Year.  The church is located at 4957 Ga. Highway 34 E. in Sharpsburg.  Go to www.ptcsda.com for more info on this and other events.

All Saints announces new service
All Saints Anglican Church announces the addition of another service. Effective immediately, a Holy Communion service will be held on Saturday evenings at 6 p.m. in the chapel.  This service is in addition to the 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning service and 6 p.m. Wednesday night service.  All Saints is located at 149 Ebenezer Road, Fayetteville, just east of Peachtree City.  For more information call  770-486-5374 or visit www.ptcanglican.org.

COS will host Resolution Run Jan. 2
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church invites all to the annual Resolution Run on Sat., Jan. 2, at 9 a.m. at the church’s Palmetto Road campus (411 Palmetto Road, the first property inside Fayette County). After devotional thoughts, all will be encouraged to run or walk the 5K course. Refreshments will be offered afterward. For questions, call 770-487-8717.

Dogwood will offer GriefShare
Dogwood Church, 975 Ga. Highway 74 N. in Tyrone, will offer a 13-week GriefShare support group held on Wednesday evenings beginning Jan. 6, from 7 – 8:30 p.m. The group  will meet in the atrium area of the church office. Contact Susan, 770-692-7624, or griefshare@dogwoodchurch.org to register.

LDS to offer free genealogy class
Next Wednesday, Jan. 6, The Fayetteville LDS Church will offer a Family History class from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at the church, 2021 Redwine Road, Fayetteville.  The topic will be “Getting Started with FamilySearch.org, the official genealogy website of the LDS church. Family Search has been updated and improved in recent years to include downloadable books, and actual images of public documents (marriage, probate, etc.) in addition to family trees and user submitted info.  The site is similar to Ancestry.com but is totally free.
