Coweta County Indivisible will hold its fourth No Kings protest Saturday, October 17, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Newnan Courthouse Square, 200 Court Square in downtown Newnan.
The protest, themed “Peace, Love and Vote Early,” will encourage participants to find common ground, promote compassion, and participate in the upcoming midterm elections.
Organizers are encouraging attendees to dress in 1960s-inspired “hippie” clothing. Sidewalk chalk will be available for participants to create peaceful messages, and bubbles will be part of the event’s atmosphere.
The organization said it expects attendance to exceed that of its previous three No Kings protests.
Coweta County Indivisible emphasizes peaceful demonstrations and strongly discourages weapons of any kind at its events. The group plans to have a safety team, including trained safety marshals, on-site to help maintain an orderly gathering.
