The County Line Christian Church, off Georgia Highway 85 Connector below Brooks, will observe its 175th continuous worship celebration Sunday, Aug. 16.

The church is considered the second oldest Christian church in Georgia, its founding members among the earliest pioneers in Fayette County. Church records only date back to the 1840s when a fire presumably destroyed earlier records and severely damaged the original building. Members rebuilt the church structure which has remained in the same site since that time.

A homecoming dinner will follow Sunday morning services around noon. Marshall Chavez presently serves as pastor at County Line. The church is affiliated with Peachtree City Christian Church.
