When Carl Hoverstad and his family moved to Peachtree City in July 2022 from Raleigh, North Carolina, they left behind more than three decades of roots. Drawn to the area by a new career opportunity for his wife Jennifer, Carl, Jennifer, and their two daughters quickly embraced their new hometown.

One of their earliest discoveries was the Peachtree City Library. “When we first moved here, our family spent a lot of our free time at the library—it quickly became one of our favorite places in town,” Carl recalls. “Volunteering with the Friends allows me to help keep that same welcoming space alive for others while making a meaningful, positive impact in the community.”

That invitation to join the Friends of the Peachtree City Library came from a neighbor—and Carl didn’t hesitate to say yes. This January, he stepped into the role of board president, leading a dedicated board with energy, strategy, and a heart for connection. In just the first months of his tenure, the organization’s active membership has grown by more than 50%, while individual and corporate donations have increased more than tenfold.

Carl’s vision is clear: expand awareness of the Friends in the local community, grow active membership, and host engaging events that unite the area’s book lovers.

When he’s not championing the library, Carl runs a freelance marketing business, helping small businesses connect with customers through innovative digital campaigns, content, and strategy. He also invests time in the leadership team of the men’s workout group F3Southside.com and volunteers with Peachtree City United Methodist Church.

Whether it’s sparking community engagement, supporting literacy, or encouraging healthy living, Carl has a knack for bringing people together. His combination of professional expertise, servant leadership, and genuine warmth makes him a standout in Peachtree City—one conversation at a time.

Carl—thanks for making Peachtree City an even better place to call home!
