Connie W. Knowles, 69, passed peacefully June 18, 2024, at her home in Fayetteville, Georgia.
She loved nursing and teaching patient care, and made a 40-year career doing so, ending as the school nurse at Braelinn Elementary.
She enjoyed reading (and did so voraciously), crocheting, sewing, cooking, baking, and solving puzzles. She remains the undefeated family Trivial Pursuit champion. She was a proud alumnus of Fayette County High School and its Star Student in 1972.
Connie believed you could build a life on faith, family, laughter, and music. She filled her home and life with them. Her 50-year marriage to the love of her life, Ted Knowles, led her to adopt his hometown of Fayetteville as her own. Their devotion and closeness to each other were an inspiration to those who knew them.
Connie is survived by Ted, their daughters, Sammi and Andi, six grandchildren, and five siblings. While her family is glad she is home with Jesus, she is sorely missed.
The family will celebrate her life and home going at 2:00 PM, July 2, 2024, in the Chapel at Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville with Rev. David Masdon and Pastor Hugh Kirby officiating. Her family will receive visitors from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Susan G. Komen or the American Cancer Society in Connie’s memory.
We welcome you to leave your condolences, thoughts, and memories of Connie on our Tribute Wall.
