Marilyn Wright Floyd passed away at home surrounded by her family on April 27, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born in Atlanta on November 30, 1939, to William Horace Wright and Myrtis Belle Wright.
Marilyn, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was a devoted member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church for over 11 years. Her greatest joys were Bible reading and assembling for worship.
She cherished time spent shopping and lunch dates with her children, grandchildren and friends. She showed her love for others through her card ministry. She will always be remembered by her family for her faithfulness in praying for them.
Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Ted Floyd, and their children: Terri Ison (Terry), Lisa Abarca, Scott (Charla), Rebecca Cook (Jared), Rachel Trimble (Travis), Anna Rigdon (Jason) and David Floyd (Olga). Her legacy includes 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Lilla Kiser (Robert) and Denise Yates (Bill). She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Anita Wilmarth, Gloria Maxwell, Teresa Mullis, and Larry Wright.
A visitation at 10:00 A.M. and a celebration of life at 12:00 P.M. will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
