The Peachtree City Elementary media center was visited by an out-of-this-world author. Deborah Lee Rose, a children’s author whose book was sent to the International Space Station, recently visited with kindergarten and 2nd grade students.

Rose is the author of multiple children’s books, including “Astronauts Zoom!,” which was sent with astronauts to the International Space Station and will be recorded and read to students from space. Students enjoyed learning about a scientist’s life on the space station and also learning about what it takes to become a book author.

Media specialist Dr. Amanda White was thrilled to connect Rose with the young Panthers. Rose is a close friend of the Tolawak family at the school who arranged for the visit and also donated a set of the author’s books to the library collection.
