The Rotary Club of Peachtree City Dragon Boat Festival will take place September 24, 2022, at Drake Field. The family-friendly event features Dragon Boat races, a children’s section, food trucks, and artisan vendors. Races start at 8 am, with vendors open all morning and afternoon.

Peachtree City’s largest community event, drawing more than 4,000 visitors annually, The event, a Peachtree City tradition for 15 years, has generated tens of thousands of dollars for local community and charity partners over the years.

The kids area will feature bouncy houses, cornhole, and other activities for children. The Starr’s Mill Pantherettes Dance Club, Crossroads Rebellion band, and many others will be performing at the festival.

Dragon Boat Racing is great fun and accessible to anyone, young or old, of all abilities. Participants at any level of fitness, who can sit unassisted and hold a paddle, can quickly adapt to and develop a passion for this sport. No experience is required. The Rotary Club of Peachtree City provides experienced coaches to ensure your paddling experience is safe and fun.

  1. Sounds like fun. The team in dark-blue shirts (Limb n Aiders) has been instructed not to do any trash-talking during their race – since they are rookies to the event this year. And they will not wave to their competition either as they pass on by!
