Payne to be honored at LCS game

In conjunction with the recognition of senior fall athletes, the Landmark Christian School athletic department and football program will recognize former War Eagle standout and current Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Donald Payne, Jr. (Class of 2012) Friday, Oct. 27, at Bill Thorn Stadium in Fairburn.

Payne, along with his friends and family, has been invited to attend the football game vs. Holy Innocents’ where he will be honored for becoming the first Landmark War Eagle to play in the NFL regular season.

Payne will serve as an honorary captain for the pre-game coin toss, and his #1 jersey will be retired during a halftime ceremony.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
