Hartford UMC’s revival starts tonight
Hartford United Methodist Church (UMC) will hold its Summer Revival from Wednesday through Friday, Aug. 10-12, at 7:30 p.m. nightly.  The senior pastor at Hartford is the Rev. Frank Dean.  Hartford UMC is located in southern Fayette County at 216 Padgett Rd., off Ga. Highway 85 South, near Starr’s Mill.

Pleasant Grove’s revival starts tonight
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church will hold its Summer Revival from Wednesday through Friday, Aug. 10-12, at 7 p.m. nightly.  Pastor Daniel Smart of Edgefield Baptist Church in Fayetteville will open the revival on Wednesday. The preacher for Thursday will be Pastor Michael McClelland of All Nations Christian Church in Newnan.  The Apostle Tilden Colton of City of Zion Deliverance Tabernacle in Newnan will close the revival on Friday night.  The host pastor is the Rev. Chris Mcgarity.  Pleasant Grove Baptist Church is located in Sharpsburg at 4267 East Ga. Highway 16.

Islam, Unitarianism compared Friday
Sir Anthony Buzzard, an Oxford-educated professor at Atlanta Bible College, will compare Christian Unitarianism with Islam during an interfaith dinner on Friday, Aug. 12, at 7:30 p.m. at Fayetteville’s Islamic Community Center,  288 E. Lanier Ave. People of all faiths are invited to join this evening of dinner and dialogue. RSVP by emailing info@iccatlanta.org.

Flat Rock AME to celebrate anniversary
Flat Rock AME Church, the oldest African-American church in Fayette County, will hold its 162nd Anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 14, at 2:30 p.m. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Roosevelt White, pastor of Little Vine Baptist Church in Tyrone.  The theme for the day is “Going Where God Wants Us to Go.”  Flat Rock is located 148 Old Chapel Rd., Fayetteville, just off of Ga.
