Uniting for a Cleaner Fayetteville is an initiative focusing on picking up debris and litter strewn along the side of streets in the city of Fayetteville. This is the kickoff event for the purpose of bringing awareness to citizens who take pride in keeping our community beautiful, clean and litter-free.

Approximately a year ago concerned citizens and community leaders met to formulate ongoing strategies on keeping the Fayetteville pristine.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 21, beginning at 8 a.m. Meet in the parking lot of Waffle House at 760 Glynn Street (Hwy. 85) for a safety debriefing, route assignments and comments from various speakers. Food and beverages provided compliments of Waffle House.

The actual cleanup begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m. All event participants and volunteers must sign a release waiver prior to joining a team. T-shirts will be provided for participants.
