PTC cops arrest cart driver, 22, for groping female jogger near Pinegate Road
A Jan. 9 sexual assault on a cart path in Peachtree City resulted in the arrest of a Peachtree City man.
Sean N. McClenahan, 22, of Dalston Way, was charged with sexual battery, criminal trespass and criminal interference with government property, according to Fayette County Jail records.
The assault occurred at approximately 10 a.m. between 500 and 600 Pinegate Road. Officers arriving at the scene were told by the female victim that while jogging on the cart path, McClenahan stopped his golf cart and grabbed her, according to police reports.
The victim told officers McClenahan grabbed her about the shoulders, breasts and buttocks before being scared by her screaming. The victim said McClenahan then returned to his golf cart and drove away, reports said.
McClenahan was located by officers near the multi-use tunnel in the area of Ga. Highway 74 North and Sagamore Lane. As he was located, McClenahan had just finished spraying a word on the tunnel wall using black spray paint, reports said.
McClenahan was taken into custody after being positively identified by the victim, according to police reports.
