Poole assumes new role at Clayton State

Clayton State University has officially named Emily Poole as its new director of corporate & foundation partnerships. She comes to the university from the Fayette County Development Authority where she worked as the manager of business retention and expansion.

Awarded Young Professional of the Year for 2011, Poole was the 2012-2013 President of Young Professionals of Fayette County. She also serves on the board of the Fayette Chamber, Fayette Senior Services, Main Street Fayetteville and Fayette County nonprofit AV Pride. Additionally, she is a 2013 graduate of the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Regional Leadership Institute and a 2014 graduate of Leadership Fayette.

“Emily brings a wealth of knowledge and connections as well as great enthusiasm for Clayton State University,” said Kate Troelstra, Poole’s supervisor at Clayton State. “We are excited to have her join our team.”

A native of Peachtree City where she graduated from McIntosh High School, Poole received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and human services from Clayton State University, and she is currently pursuing an MBA in international business.
