Flipper Chapel events announced
The women of Flipper Chapel A.M.E Church will celebrate Women’s Day on Sept. 20, beginning with dinner from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. The theme:  Women: “Worshiping, Working and Witnessing for Christ.” The Rev. Regina Dotson~Hibbert and the Russell Temple A.M.E. Church, Newnan,  will be the guest pastor and church. The Rev. Kimberly Lyons is the host pastor.  On Saturday, Sept. 19, the women will sell spaghetti dinners from 3 to 5 p.m. The donation is $10. The church is  at 175 Booker Ave., Fayetteville.

Gospel festival set for Sept. 19
The second annual Gospel Under the Stars Festival is Saturday, Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. at 1565 Hwy. 92 N. in Fayetteville, hosted by Mount Olive Baptist Church. The theme is “We are Family.” The tri-county, community-wide “outdoor” festival will include gospel music performances, tag-team preaching, youth Olympic-style games, bouncers, food, and vendors. The purpose of the festival is to give back to the community and to bring families together. Organ, voice concert set at PTCUMC
Peachtree City United Methodist Church will present its  second inaugural concert, “Music for Organ and Voice,” celebrating the new organ designed and built by the Allen Organ Company. The event is planned for Sunday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. Mike and Cathy Strain of PTCUMC will present music that showcases the new organ as both a solo instrument and as a collaborative and accompanying instrument. There will be an ice cream social following the concert. The church is at 225 Robinson Road, Peachtree City.

Evergreen to offer ladies’ Bible study
Evergreen Church in Peachtree City invites women of all ages to participate in the new Priscilla Shirer Bible study titled “The Armor of God.” The seven-week study will take place on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 8 p.m. beginning Oct. 6.  For more information, or to register and pre-order the study book ($13), contact Lisa Mathews at cdmaster@bellsouth.net.  Evergreen Church is located at 400 Windgate Rd. in Peachtree City (at the corner of Windgate Rd. and Peachtree Parkway, S.).

Prayer group meets at Summit
A community prayer group meets at The Summit Family Resource Center, 1373 Ga. Highway 92 S. Fayetteville, from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Thursday mornings.  This is an inter-denominational event. Everyone is invited. Call 770-460-3335 for more information.
