The Coweta Community Foundation has announced that it will be bringing Foundation Center-Atlanta to Coweta Wednesday, Sept. 23.

The Foundation Center will host a joint session for all nonprofit agencies from 10-11 a.m. Individual appointments are available from 12:30-4 p.m. so that representatives from Coweta’s nonprofit organizations can ask questions about such organizational matters as budget, board structure, grant writing, risk items and more.

Established in 1956, Foundation Center is the leading source of information about philanthropy worldwide. Through data, analysis and training, it connects people who want to change the world to the resources they need to succeed. Foundation Center maintains the most comprehensive database on U.S. and, increasingly, global grantmakers and their grants—a robust, accessible knowledge bank for the sector. It also operates research, education and training programs designed to advance knowledge of philanthropy at every level. Thousands of people visit Foundation Center’s website each day and are served in its five library/learning centers and at more than 450 Funding Information Network locations nationwide and around the world.

The local sessions Sept. 23 will be in Room 131 at the University of West Georgia campus in Newnan. Anyone who would like to attend either the joint session or an individual appointment is asked to contact Lisa Bullard at the Coweta Community Foundation at 770-253-1833. Seating is limited, and those participating must have a reservation to attend.
