Last week several people assembled to establish the Newnan Storytelling Group, which will hold its meetings at The Carnegie.

The group and which received encouragement and ideas from the Southern Crescent Storytellers group which meets in Peachtree City and whose chairman, Anne Wallace, was present at the meeting.

The fall schedule of meetings includes Sept. 17, Oct. 8, Nov. 12 and Dec. 10 (all Thursdays) from 2:30-4 p.m. at the Carnegie Library.

There is also an opportunity for the group to participate in a Rabbie Burns/Scottish celebration (also in honor of sister city Ayr, Scotland) Jan. 29-30.
