Free event for authors Aug. 22

Local art group AMG Pro will be hosting its first annual Authors’ Gathering Saturday, Aug. 22, 4-6 p.m. at the newly renovated Holiday Dorsey Fife Museum in Fayetteville. The event will showcase a bevy of talented local writers in various genres who will network with fans, share their stories, and auction off themed gift baskets.

There will be light refreshments, several giveaways, and an opportunity to bid in a silent auction featuring the authors’ theme baskets.

Aspiring authors and those who love to read or support the arts are invited to this free event designed to celebrate creative writing. Proceeds will benefit AMG Pro’s support of all the arts as well as to the Holiday Dorsey Fife Museum. AMG Pro’s mission is to seek talent, advocate, and obtain financial support in order to ensure high quality services for local authors, artists, musicians, and more.

There will be two featured presentations for prospective professional writers. One is about ghostwriting and the other is about building an online presence.
