Fayetteville Main Street hopes to honor excellence in visual arts by displaying examples of local work on banners around the old courthouse square.
The group is seeking submissions from Fayette County artists, ages 18 and over.
To be considered, artists should submit a jpeg of one painting, at a resolution of 150 dpi or higher, by email to Ed Gullett at egullett@bellsouth.net. The email should also include the original size of the painting, artist name, phone number and email address. Submissions selected for display will need to be resubmitted for printing at the highest resolution possible. The actual size of each display will total 18” x 56”, split between two 18” x 28” banners.
The deadline for submissions is Thursday, April 30, and the displays will begin this summer.
