UPDATE: Eleanor Alexander was found by searchers at approximately 11 a.m. Tuesday and was transported to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment. The 78-year-old was found 300 yards from her home, according to reports.

Area residents have joined the law enforcement in searching for 78-year-old Coweta County resident Eleanor Alexander who was last seen early Sunday morning.

Alexander has been diagnosed with dementia but is said to be in good physical condition. She is believed to be wearing a white shirt with either red or pink horizontal stripes, and faded white blue jeans, according to reports.

Alexander was last seen walking early Sunday morning along Providence Church Road west of Newnan, though she was last seen by residents Friday night, reports said.
