“Celebration Of Learning” was the theme of the day at Fayetteville Intermediate School’s Open House  to showcase science units that students have been studying this year. The extensive projects displayed in a  museum style all over the school included posters, models, dioramas, notebooks, drawings, and hands-on-activities. They were all created by students while studying the various state standards for science in elementary grades. FIS was filled with parents, community members, and other Fayette County school personnel viewing the projects and listening to student “docents” explain the concepts. Pictured are two  5th grade student docents, Tarah Thompson and Kayla Lott, with a poster on” Animal and Plant Cells.” Photo/Special.
