FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. — The Whitewater High School Wildcat Marching Band and Color Guard delivered an exceptional performance at the Red Regiment Rumble in Jackson, Georgia, securing another Grand Championship and sweeping Class AAA.
The ensemble earned Superior ratings across all evaluated categories, including Overall Band, Color Guard, Percussion, and Drum Major. In addition to capturing first place overall in Class AAA, the band claimed first-place caption awards in Percussion, Music, Visual, and Effect, ultimately achieving the highest overall band score of the entire competition while being named Grand Champions.
The band received the event’s highest overall music and visual scores, while the Whitewater drum majors placed 2nd overall among all competing drum majors at the contest.
“While sweeping Class AAA and being named Grand Champion is an incredible honor, the real victory is seeing how much these students have grown as individuals and as a team. What people see on the field is just a snapshot. Behind it are hundreds of hours of early mornings, intense heat, and an incredible commitment from every single student. We couldn’t be prouder of their heart and work ethic,” said Chad Reynolds, band director.
Band leadership attributes the sweeping success to the relentless dedication of the students and the unwavering support of the parent boosters and community families.
