An Atlanta man accused of robbing the Creekside Chevron in Peachtree City at gunpoint Dec. 19 has been arrested, police said.

Orlando Marquez Peavy, 21, of Atlanta was identified as the offender in the holdup after he was arrested last week by Newnan police for a kidnapping and armed carjacking incident, police said. It is believed that Newnan police during that case found the sawed-off shotgun that Peavy used in the Chevron holdup.

Newnan officers then notified Peachtree City police, who subsequently took warrants for Peavy’s arrest, police said.

Peavy is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, use of a sawed off shotgun during the commission of a crime and carrying a concealed weapon, police said.

Peavy is accused of entering the Creekside Chevron, located off Ga. Highway 54 West near Line Creek Drive, just after 7 a.m. Dec. 19, pointing the shotgun at the clerk during the robbery. A video of the incident shows the armed assailant wearing a parka with a fur-laced hood.

No one was hurt during the robbery, police said.
