A request to rezone 5.85 acres along Redwine Road from A-R (agricultural residential) to R-55 (one-acre lots) to accommodate four residential lots was approved on a 4-0 vote at the Oct. 24 meeting of the Fayette County Commission.

Though present at the meeting, Commissioner Eric Maxwell recused himself during the discussion and vote.

The proposal was approved after a brief discussion.

There was no public comment on the agenda item.

The proposal conformed to the Fayette County Comprehensive Plan.

The 5.85-acre parcel is part of a larger 40-acre tract.
