The FCHS Literary Team won its 4th consecutive region championship on Saturday, Mar. 5. Here are the members of the team and how they placed at the meet:
Rylee Bunton – Region Champion, Girls Dramatic Interpretation / Region Runner Up, Girls Trio
Meneka Reddy – Region Champion, Girls Extemporaneous Speaking
Ashley Satterwhite – Region Runner Up, Girls Essay
Chelsey Medrano – Region Runner Up, Girls Trio
Sarah Stanley – Region Runner Up, Girls Trio
Liam McDermott – 3rd Place, Boys Dramatic Interpretation
Yoseph Shelbayah – 4th Place, Boys Extemporaneous Speaking
Madison Coburn – Girls Solo, sang well but finished outside of scoring position in a very tough competition.
Fred Bobbitt heads up the competitive team for Fayette County High School with help this year from FCHS teachers Richard Prouty, Jeffery Miller, Kristin Rabun, and Sherry Van de Motter.
FCHS also has two young ladies going to the state literary meet on Mar. 19 at Northside High School, Warner Robins. Rylee Bunton will compete in Girls Dramatic Interpretation and Meneka Reddy will compete in Girls Extemporaneous Speaking.
