The Citizen is proud to feature exceptional student-athletes from across our community each week. Whether they’re leading their teams to victory, showing strong character on and off the field, or making steady progress in their sport, these athletes represent the very best of local youth. We celebrate their hard work, dedication, and leadership in schools, leagues, and clubs throughout Fayette and Coweta counties.

This week, we’re proud to feature this athlete:

McIntosh High School

Marcus Swoope
Football

Marcus “Twin” Swoope represents exactly what it means to be a McIntosh CHIEF. He is the ideal gentleman in our hallways and classrooms—respectful, dependable, and humble in the way he carries himself. On the football field, Twin does everything we ask and consistently demonstrates outstanding character by doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. His humility, initiative, commitment to excellence, fortitude, and service to his teammates make him a young man our coaches trust and our entire program is proud to call a Chief.  – Coach Derek Smith
