Summer camps start next week

Several summer camps will begin next week in the Fayette area.

Brooks United Methodist Church will host an “All Sports Camp” the week of July 9-13. The cost is $75 for the week and camp runs from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The camp will be led by Randy Aragon, a certified trainer, and will be a fun week of playing different sports such as volleyball, basketball, dodge ball and kickball

The Fayetteville First United Methodist Church’s Music Academy will offer a summer music camp Monday through Friday, July 9-13 from 9 a.m. until noon. Rising kindergarten through rising first grade kids will have a set curriculum including ryhthm, handbells, and singing.

Rising second grade throughsixth grade kids can choose from wind/recorder, strings I and II, chimes/handbells, percussion, movement, set design/ensemble, and solo/ensemble.

Classes are taught by Joyce Aycock, Heidemarie Kufchuk and Delacey Wilkins.

All Saints Anglican Church in Peachtree City will conduct its fifth annual free children’s Music Camp from July 9 through 13 for children ages 5 through 11. Camp is scheduled from 9 a.m. until noon each day at the church, 225 S. Peachtree Parkway.

Heritage Christian will host Winshape Camp July 9-13 for all students who have completed first through sixth grade.

Winshape combines sports and recreation, arts, Bible study and worship. Camp runs from 7:45 a.m.- 5 p.m. daily. Cost is $184 for a full week of camp and scholarships are available.
