Quilters Guild Welcomes Fabric Insider for Workshop

Quilters and the “quilt-curious” are invited to the monthly meetings of The Quilters Guild of the Southern Crescent, on Thursday, September 10^th at 7 p.m. and Friday, September 11^th at 1:30 p.m.  The organization gathers at the Evergreen Church in Peachtree City for fun, fellowship and sharing of information.

This month’s speaker is Liz Dougherty, representative of FreeSpirit fabrics for the Southeastern Region.  She will share insight from behind the scenes of one of the top fabric manufacturers in the world.  Liz emphasized, “I get to combine business with creativity – and, most importantly, I help both retailers and quilters turn fabric into something successful, meaningful and fun.”

In addition to the Meet & Greet on Thursday and Trunk Show on Friday, Liz will lead a workshop showing how to make the Beachwood Bag (see below) on Saturday, September 12^th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The $50 workshop fee includes pattern, interfacing, bag handles and FreeSpirit Fabrics.  Registration is required so please email [email protected] (Attn: Lisa) for more information and to sign up.

Evergreen Church is located at 400 Windgate Rd, Peachtree City.  Doors open 30 minutes before the meetings for “social hour”.  Admission is free.
