Harts of Teal to Host “Shining Light: Gala & Concert” at Trilith LIVE

December event will bring together cancer survivors, families and the community for an evening of hope, remembrance and live entertainment

Harts of Teal, Inc., a Fayette County-based nonprofit dedicated to ovarian and gynecologic cancer awareness, education and patient support, will host its Shining Light: Gala & Concert on Thursday, December 17, 2026, at Trilith LIVE in Fayetteville, Georgia.

The evening will bring together cancer survivors, families, healthcare professionals, community leaders and supporters for a night centered on hope, remembrance and celebration.

Guests will enjoy a plated dinner, open bar, an inspiring Harts of Teal program and an evening of unique live entertainment.

One of the most meaningful moments of the night will be a special performance by internationally recognized artist Joe Castillo, known for his powerful SandStory presentations. Castillo will create a custom piece for Harts of Teal using sand, light and music to tell the story of the cancer journey — from diagnosis and treatment to survivorship, remembrance, faith and hope.

The evening will then shift from reflection to celebration with a live concert by Slippery When Wet – The Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute Band.

For Harts of Teal founder and Executive Director Kim Airhart, the mission is deeply personal. Airhart was diagnosed with advanced-stage ovarian cancer at age 41 in 2020. Her experience with diagnosis, treatment and survivorship ultimately led to the creation of Harts of Teal in 2021.

“Shining Light represents so much of what Harts of Teal is about,” Airhart said. “We want to honor the women we have lost, stand beside the women who are still fighting, celebrate our survivors and remind every family walking through cancer that they are never alone. There can be so much darkness in a cancer diagnosis, but there is also incredible hope, faith, community and even joy. This night is about all of it.”

Harts of Teal works throughout Georgia and beyond to educate women about the signs and symptoms of ovarian and other gynecologic cancers while providing support and connection for women facing diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.

Programs include Teal for Teachers, which has brought ovarian and gynecologic cancer education into schools and communities; patient comfort and encouragement initiatives; survivor gatherings and Teal Sister dinners; and year-round awareness and advocacy efforts.

Unlike several other women’s cancers, there is currently no reliable routine screening test for ovarian cancer for average-risk women. Harts of Teal emphasizes symptom awareness, knowing personal and family risk factors, and advocating for further evaluation when persistent symptoms are present.

Proceeds from Shining Light: Gala & Concert will help Harts of Teal continue its awareness, education and patient-support programs.

Tickets are $165 per person and include dinner, open bar, the evening program, SandStory performance and live concert. Survivors are discounted to $100.
