Dozens of local business professionals convened on the courtyard on the lovely campus of City of Hope Cancer Center in Newnan for the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours on Thursday, September 11. Although businesspeople were there for networking, some participants said it was the best catered food they had ever been served, with lamb chops, crab cakes and Philly empanadas on the buffet table.
For City of Hope it was more about serving up community-building. City of Hope Vice President of Development Patrick Brown said, “We were honored to welcome our local community to City of Hope Cancer Center for Business After Hours! It’s always great to see everyone and we truly believe that developing strong community relationships outside our walls creates better care inside of them.”
Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Candace Boothby was also on hand to greet her members and guests. “Business After Hours is where the magic of connections really happens,” she said. “It’s members coming together, ideas sparking opportunities, and businesses strengthening our community. We’re thrilled to have City of Hope host tonight—they embody innovation and care, and we’re proud to celebrate with them.”
