Flat Rock band to play MidFest

The Flat Rock Middle School Symphonic Band has been selected to perform at the University of Georgia Middle School Honor Band Festival (MidFest). 

MidFest is one of the most prestigious events for middle school bands in the state. Out of 17 highly competitive middle school ensembles that applied for the honor, only two bands were selected. 

The Flat Rock band program is under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey D. Hughley. They will perform at MidFest this December at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia. 

“This is more than just a performance—it’s a celebration of everything our students, families, and school community have worked so hard to build,” said Dr. Hughley. “Our selection for MidFest is a testament to the strength of our program, the talent of our students, and the unwavering support from our band families.”
