ATLANTA – Today, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Chambers for Innovation & Clean Energy (CICE) highlighted a new report showing how Georgia has emerged as a leader in the clean energy economy and the tremendous statewide economic impact from clean energy.
Highlights from the 2024 Georgia Clean Energy Jobs & Economic Impact Report, prepared by CICE and available here, include:
- 82,163 Georgians were employed in clean energy jobs in 2024
- $31.3 billion, the total amount of Georgia’s nation leading investments in the EV-related industry
- $36.7 million in property, state, & local tax revenues were generated from clean power projects
- $23.6 million income to farmers, ranchers, and private landowners via clean energy projects
- #15, where Georgia ranks nationally for the total number of clean energy jobs
