Sandy Creek High had another excellent showing at the SkillsUSA Georgia State Leadership & Skills Conference.

A host of Patriots competed in nearly 20 different disciplines, with the whole team earning Sandy Creek recognition as a Silver Chapter of Distinction.

Two Patriots claimed gold: Emily Dykes won for Pin Design & Presentation, and Jason Grant won for Graphic Communication. Dykes and Grant both advance to nationals.

The team of Chris Allen, Ava Bracken, Wes Isbell, and Tyler Patton placed 2nd in Single Script Video.

The duo of Dakera Hooks and Ally Moore placed 3rd in 3D Visualization & Animation.

“The students did an outstanding job of stretching their skills to tackle challenging competition opportunities, build employability skills, develop leadership skills, and build community and teamwork,” said chapter sponsor Jeff Dykes. “They represented Sandy Creek High School, SkillsUSA Georgia, their families, and themselves proudly.”
