On December 13, 2024, the Fayette Chamber of Commerce hosted its 59th Annual Meeting and Awards Celebration, honoring local leaders, businesses, and organizations for their visionary leadership, community service, and economic impact.

2024 Carolyn Cary Dreambuilder Award Recipient: Paige Muh
Sponsored by Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, this award was presented to Paige Muh of Piedmont Fayette Hospitalfor her commitment to community service and leadership. Actively serving on numerous boards, she fosters connections and drives positive change. Jaimi Tapp, Director of Strategic Planning with the airport and 2023 Chamber Board Chair, presented the award, highlighting its legacy of honoring visionary contributors to Fayette County.

2024 Chet Wells Award Recipient: Doug Bates
Doug Bates, a business leader at CMIT Solutions of Atlanta Southern Crescent, was recognized with the Chet Wells Awardsponsored by Georgia Power Company for his exceptional support of Chamber initiatives and dedication to its mission. Bates’ unwavering presence at events and active involvement in Chamber programs exemplify the spirit of this honor.

2024 Corporate Citizen of the Year Recipient: Coweta-Fayette EMC
Sponsored by Cooper Lighting Solutions, this award was presented to Coweta-Fayette EMC, led by CEO Chris Stephens. The cooperative’s community impact includes support for key projects like the U.S. Soccer Federation’s National Training Center and over $6 million in local nonprofit grants through Operation Round Up.

2024 Piedmont Fayette Nonprofit Award of Excellence Recipient: Healing Bridge Clinic
Healing Bridge Clinic was honored for its commitment to providing free healthcare to uninsured and underserved individuals. The award sponsored by Piedmont Fayette Hospital recognized the agency for its tireless work in serving uninsured and those enduring financial hardships. With over 5,300 annual patient encounters and a dedicated team of volunteers, the clinic’s Expanding Possibilities campaign has raised 65% of its $1.017M goal to enhance its services.

2024 Outstanding Businessperson of the Year Recipient: Rob Parker, Trilith Development
Sponsored by Coweta-Fayette EMC, this flagship award was presented to Rob Parker for his exceptional leadership and business acumen. With over 40 years of experience, Parker has spearheaded ventures such as the billion-dollar Trilith mixed-use community and a $300M initiative to build 2,500 technology centers in underserved areas.
