Kathryn Harper Weaver of Greensboro, GA, formerly of Fayetteville, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at the age of 78 at The Glen at Lake Oconee Village.
Born in Atlanta, GA on April 3, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Jenkins Harper and Kathryn Baggett Harper. Kathy graduated from Brown High School and attended West Georgia College. She grew up in Atlanta but lived in Fayetteville for fifty years.
She had an impressive career with the Federal Aviation Administration, retiring in 2002. She was the first female Air Marshall and attended the FBI Academy.
Not only was she an excellent shooter, she enjoyed golfing, gardening and spending quality time with her grandsons and friends. After retirement she took many trips and cruises with her family and continued to live in Fayetteville until a year ago.
Kathy moved to Greene County to be closer to her son and his wife. Taking care of her family, helping others and working was her life.
She is survived by her only son and his wife, Brian and Kristine of Eatonton, GA; their two sons, James and Jackson Morris; and niece, Sherri Keith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Feller Weaver and her brothers, Wayne Harper and Bill Harper.
