Anna Lois Wilson Kemble, 103, passed away on November 30, 2023 in Peachtree City, GA. She was born on February 20, 1920 in Waco, Texas to Lucian and Myrtle Wilson. She was the youngest of three children, Layton, Herman and Anna Lois.
Anna Lois married in 1939 to Joe Kemble, they had 3 girls, Joann, and Betty “Kem”.
Anna Lois would likely be found in her kitchen. Her favorite thing to make was desserts. There was always a fresh dessert each day and her children and grandchildren remember this fondly.
She was a stay at home Mother until Betty and Joann were in high school. She loved her job as a receptionist secretary for Shivers Construction in Patterson, LA until she retired. Joe and Anna Lois bought a ranch in East Texas where they raised cattle and totally enjoyed retirement.
Anna Lois was a devoted Christian. She never missed a Sunday worship not only for her sake, but she wanted her girls to know and love the Lord also. There are so many wonderful memories, and she will be lovingly missed by so many.
She is survived by her children, Lynda Richter (Ray), Joann Platt (Ben), and Betty “Kem” Roda (AC).; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
The family wants to thank Southern Grace hospice for their loving care and Arbor Terrace nurses and aides for watching over Anna Lois during her last years.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory, 135 Senoia Road, Peachtree City, GA.
