Southside Theatre Guild will host auditions for “Alice in Wonderland” by Jason Pizzarello, Dec. 10-12 at the theater on 20 W. Campbellton St. in Fairburn. This remarkable adaptation weaves together Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass” into a singular, enchanting act. But here’s the twist – within this adaptation, the production is hoping to explore the concept of multiple Alices.
“Originally intended as a youth outreach production, we realized that the talent in our local schools deserves a chance to shine as well. So, we’re opening the doors to all ages, with a strong emphasis on youth inclusion,” said director Will Evans. “This means you could be part of a potentially large, diverse cast, where every role is crucial and impactful. Rehearsals will be engaging and enjoyable, with a focus on keeping the atmosphere light, humorous, and filled with wonder.”
Auditions will consist of old readings, scene work, warm-ups, and movement reviews. Check-in begins at 6:30 p.m. and auditions will start at 7 p.m. It is not necessary to attend all three auditions.
Performances of “Alice in Wonderland,” will take place Thursdays-Saturdays, Feb. 15-25.
