Thanksgiving Turkey Coloring Contest

Wednesday, November 1st—Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023
Break out the crayons, markers, and colored pencils. It’s time for the Peachtree City Library Thanksgiving Turkey Coloring Contest! We would love to see your best Thanksgiving Turkey coloring sheet. We have so much to be thankful for and we want to see how you make your Turkeys stand out! Best of all-the contest is open to all ages! Turkey coloring sheets will be available online and/or at the Children’s Desk starting Wednesday, November 1st. Turkeys must be turned in at the Peachtree City Library Children’s Department by 6pm Wednesday, November 22nd. NO EXCEPTIONS. NO ONLINE ENTRIES ACCEPTED.

 

Coloring sheets are based on age range so please be sure to pick up the correct coloring sheet. Turkeys will be on display in the Children’s Department throughout November. Contest entries will be judged by Peachtree City Mayor, Kim Learnard on Monday, November 27th and winners will be announced on Facebook and at the library, Wednesday, November 29th. Turkey Coloring Contest open to residents of the Flint River Regional Library System (Fayette, Spalding, Butts, Lamar, Monroe, and Pike Counties) as well as surrounding counties (Coweta, Fulton, Henry, and Clayton Counties).

 

Contest Rules:

* Coloring Sheets are based on age range so please be sure to pick up the correct coloring sheet.

* Adult coloring sheet open to ages 18+. Teen coloring sheet open to ages 13-17 and the children’s coloring sheet open to ages 2-12.

* One (1) winner will be announced in the Adult and Teen age categories.

* One (1) winner will be announced in each of the following Kid’s categories; 2-4 years; 5-8 years; 9-12 years

* Only one (1) entry per person

 

NaNoWriMo Kickoff Pizza Party

Weekly Beginning Spanish

Thursdays starting November 2nd, 2023, 2:00pm —Theater Room

Join the Peachtree City Library staff for Beginning Spanish with Mango. Learn how to use Mango Languages as well as practice with other attendees for perfect pronunciation. For ages 14+ and all skill levels. No previous experience necessary. Seating is limited. Registration is recommended, but not required. Register at https://peachtreecitylibrary.eventbrite.com. NaNoWriMo Write-Ins

Join the Peachtree City Library for two write-in sessions scheduled this month for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)! NaNoWriMo began in 1999 as a daunting but straightforward challenge: to write 50,000 words of a novel in 30 days. Hopeful writers can find their local NaNoWriMo chapter and get connected virtually at https://nanowrimo.org.
