0At Fayetteville Elementary, the Tigers Cubs love to dig into learning. To enrich their science curriculum with a hands-on experience, 3rd graders went mining for minerals.
The young scholars examined first hand the characteristics of a variety of minerals, including crystals, quartz, fluorite, and more. They continued their studies of hardness, luster, color, and streak testing for each of the minerals.
