0The winner’s podium was filled with local faces at the Griffin RESA Regional Middle School Math Contest.
Whitewater Middle was the team winner in the Division II – Medium Schools division.
In Division III – Larger Schools, it was a clean sweep with Rising Starr in 1st, JC Booth in 2nd, and Bennett’s Mill in 3rd.
Among individual winners, Simon Morano of Bennett’s Mill was 2nd overall, with Sarah Marsh of JC Booth in 3rd place.
The Griffin RESA Middle School Math Contest is a regional competition among middle schools in the Griffin RESA region which consists of the following school systems: Butts, Fayette, Henry, Lamar, Newton, Pike, Griffin-Spalding, and Thomaston-Upson. Over 27 middle schools and 135 students participated.
