Carolyn A. Barber, 82, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away Monday, October 3, 2022. She was born Friday, September 27, 1940, in Atlanta, Georgia to Amos and Louise McKinney Almand.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Wayne Barber, Sr., her parents, and two of her brothers, Amos Almand, Jr., and Bill Almand. She is survived by her sons, Wayne ( Zondra) Barber, Jr., Derek (Cissy) Barber, Brent (Megan) Barber; grandchildren, Zachary, Hunter, Jeremy, Peyton, Grace, William, and Jordan; great-grandchild, Noah; and sisters, Patricia Singeltary and Brenda Allen.
Carolyn was co-owner of Barber Auto Air in Morrow, Georgia. She loved spending time with her family and her church family. She was a member of Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church for over 25 years.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, October 8, 2022, in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Visitation will occur prior to the service at the funeral home Saturday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
