Robert “Bob” Dennis Johnson of Peachtree City, Georgia passed away peacefully on February 13, 2022 at the age of 78.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joanne (Jankowski); and daughters, Jody (Lee) Hamlett, Jennifer (James) Chambers, and Katie (Scott) Kostuck. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Sarah Hamlett, Alex, Julian and Evelyn Chambers, and Owen Kostuck; and step-grandchildren, C.J., Breanne (Gino) Ellis, Cory, and Kayla Hamlett; his brother, Larry (Kim) Johnson; his sister-in-law, Carol (Ken) Toutant; niece, Jamie (Jason) Moore; nephews, Cory (Jessica) and Matt Johnson, and Brian and Brad (Erika) Toutant. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Leona (Zimbelman) Johnson; and infant sister, Nancy Lynn.
Bob was born on December 11, 1943 in Valley City, North Dakota. His family moved to Greendale, Wisconsin where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Joanne.
He began his career at the Schlitz Brewing Container Division in Milwaukee and later transferred to Georgia where he retired in the same industry as a Quality Assurance Manager. In addition to spending time with his family, Bob enjoyed golfing, woodworking, stained glass projects, watching sports and traveling throughout the U.S. and worldwide.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City, with Deacon Mark Sholander from Holy Trinity Catholic Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
