It’s always a good time to settle in and enjoy a good book. Over the holiday break, Dr. Amanda White, media specialist at Peachtree City Elementary School, will be hosting a nightly digital storytime for students. Six Nights of Stories will debut on December 20 and run through December 25 each night at 6 p.m.
Students will be invited to join Dr. White as she reads live on the PCES Facebook page. Stories will also be available on the media center’s Schoology page for families who do not access Facebook. Families will be provided with a listing of holiday stories to enjoy on their own in addition to the digital stories that will be offered.
Dr. White is continuing a tradition that she began when school buildings were closed during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. She hosted a live storytime each night for the duration of the school closing, including weekends, until summer vacation began. She hosted nearly 100 storytimes and is excited to continue the tradition during the December holiday break.
