The Fayette County Historical Society is inviting the public to its November 21 meeting for a special program about the South’s favorite holiday store, Rich’s.

The Fayette County Historical Society is excited to be able to finally meet in person once again for our monthly meeting. The community is invited Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 3 p.m. to the third floor of the Old Courthouse in downtown Fayetteville.

Come hear from historian Jeff Clemmons as he traces Rich’s 137-year history. Learn the true stories behind Penelope Penn, Fashionata, The Great Tree, the Pink Pig, Rich’s famous coconut cake and much more. With an eye for accuracy and exacting detail, Clemmons recounts the complete history of this treasured southern institution.

What a wonderful way to begin the Thanksgiving week, by reminiscing and sharing Black Friday memories of our beloved Rich’s.
