Raymond (Ray) Dasher Cozart of Tyrone, Georgia passed away on December 5, 2020.

Ray was born in Madison, Florida to the late Jack Cozart and Irene Dasher Cozart on February 25, 1934.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Barbara Howard Cozart, daughter Sandra Cozart Hopkins and husband Steve Hopkins and grandson Bradley Ray Hopkins; sister Mary Lou Surles and husband Bobby; brother, Bennett Cozart and wife, Sandy, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Billy Cozart and Harold Cozart.

Ray was a faithful member and served as a former elder of the Fayetteville Church of Christ. He graduated from Madison County High School in Madison, Florida. He attended Southern Tech and Falls College where he received an associate degree.

Ray served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for the Department of Defense and retired from the Environmental Protection Agency. He worked for 17 years at Greater Atlanta Christian School.

He loved his family and loved to travel, especially out west. He was also an avid Florida Gator fan. He was loved by his family and many friends.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday December 19, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Fayetteville Church of Christ with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. until the service begins at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Scotland mission fund in c/o Fayetteville Church of Christ, Fayetteville, Georgia.
