Theda Elizabeth Gardner, 78, of Fayetteville passed away October 22, 2020. She was born in Rome, Georgia on June 12, 1942 to the late Buster and Mary Fricks.
Theda was a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church, Fayetteville for 47 years where she taught Sunday School. She retired from Georgia Power after 34 years of faithful service. Theda was a prayer warrior and a great source of wisdom and support for her family and friends.
Theda was preceded in death by her parents; son, Philip; sisters, Phyllis, Barbara, and Mary Alice. She is survived by her sons, Charles, Adam and his wife Amy, and Jonathan and his wife Dena; daughter-in-law, Amy; grandchildren, Scarlett, Amber, James, Morgan, Hunter, David, and Joshua; and her great-granddaughter, Maddi.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Reverend Jack Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Atlanta. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the funeral home.
