The Harvest for Real Life Fruit Orchard U-Pick 4 Others Season will begin June 13th and they need your help! Picking blueberries in the Orchard is a FUN and FREE activity for families and groups to do and still falls within the guidelines of social distancing. Also, through helping harvest the blueberries, you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of many!

Because of the great needs seen in the community of those affected by the COVID-19 crisis, all the berries picked will go to the families served by the Real Life Center versus in the past when pickers could take a portion home with them. The programs of the Real Life Center help families through unexpected difficult times in life. Right now especially, their modified drive-thru Food Pantry and their Financial Assistance program are restoring hope for so many in Coweta and Fayette counties who are out of work and not sure where the funds will come from to pay for food, rent, and utilities. The Real Life Center is grateful to continue being a beacon of hope in our community for our neighbors in need.

This summer, picking through U-Pick 4 Others will be done through scheduling yourself, your family, or your group through the scheduling system in order to control the number of people they have in the blueberry bushes at one time. Please visit https://reallifecenter.org/support-our-orchard/volunteer-and-u-pick-information-2/ to see their picking days and hours and to schedule a time to participate.

The Orchard is located at 975 Hwy 74 North, Tyrone on the property of Dogwood Church and is truly a wonderful and peaceful place to spend time with friends and family, take your mind off of troubles and make an impact!
