October registers 60-degree swing in Peachtree City temperatures

With the arrival of winter-like low temperatures, it’s easy to forget what last month was like.

It was 100 degrees of hotness in Peachtree City on Oct. 3. Fast forward 28 days and it’s 40 degrees, a swing of 60 degrees in what the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Peachtree City is calling the fourth warmest October on record.

The weather station at Falcon Field measured 3.23 inches of rainfall during the month, a departure of minus 0.18 inch from the normal 3.41 inches.
